iOS Developer

At Chordify we're looking for an iOS Developer (3+ years experience) to join our team.

Full-time / Part-time · Utrecht / Groningen, the Netherlands

About the job

Our mission at Chordify is to make it as easy as possible for musicians of all skill levels to learn to play their favorite music.

As an iOS Developer at Chordify, you'll help improving the Chordify app, both visibly and invisibly, for our users.

Within Chordify you'll work in the Engagement & Retention team - a team whose mission it is to engage musicians by empowering them to play more songs and contribute to our community. Ultimately, our customers will have a great experience on our iOS app thanks to you.

You

  • Are an iOS developer with professional experience in Swift

  • Are familiar with both UIKit and SwiftUI

  • Are not afraid of working on codebases with different architectural patterns

  • Can communicate in English

  • Have a proactive mindset

  • Have good feeling for usability

  • Know how to use GIT version control

  • Are a team player

  • Love music

  • Are located in the Netherlands

We

  • Are a bunch of friendly, open, always caring people, from a variety of cultural and professional backgrounds.

  • Are an autonomous workforce, with our own flavor of the Holacracy method.

  • Use the Scrum framework and agile principles in our day-to-day work.

  • Have no managers, no micromanagement.

  • Love music!

Our work philosophy is simple: We believe in an autonomous workforce where everybody takes care of themselves and their work. We call it Chortonomy, where everyone does what they know best, and with all our skills combined we make Chordify. Please read our blog about the heart and soul of Chordify if you want to know more about what makes us tick.

You will

  • Maintain and develop new features that allow musicians around the world to live their music.

  • Work on a codebase using old style patterns (like ViewControllers handle all logic) as well as others using the new The Composable Architecture pattern, and eventually also migrate/refactor code to reduce legacy code.

  • Work together with developers (back- and front-end) and designers to implement new and exciting features.

  • Be part of the Engagement & Retention team - a growing multidisciplinary team that focuses on improving the product user experience on the Chordify product.

  • Continuously experiment, iterate on, and deliver new product improvements.

  • Conduct code reviews, provide and process constructive feedback.

  • Write unit tests.

  • Work at 32-40 hours per week.

You get

  • A gross monthly salary of €3900 to €5100 (based on 40h/week, excluding 8% holiday allowance) depending on your skills and expertise

  • A result-based collective bonus of up to 10% of your yearly salary

  • Flexible working hours

  • To work at either our Utrecht or Groningen office and, if you want, partially from home

  • A pension scheme

  • A daily free lunch, snacks, and drinks

  • Commuting expenses reimbursed

  • A leased bicycle of your choice

  • A budget each year to spend on anything music related

  • To be part of an international team of music lovers

  • To enjoy Friday afternoon drinks, regular game evenings, and team outings

  • To make music during work

  • To trade public holidays for other days that are important to you

  • To focus on your mental health through OpenUp
